Okay, we've got a crappy logo made real quick in GIMP. Looks nice if you have alpha channel support for PNGs in your browser (too bad Windows IE users, get a real browser here).
Anyways, besides that we have a new prospective artist that may be joining on. And the big news... We are going to divide and conquer on this project, so here is the plan:

Client
Written in C++ with SDL
Prototype to be in Python with pygame/SDL

Server
Written in C/C++ with MySQL/Sockets
Possible that a prototype may be done in Java
Depending on the success of the prototypes we may not move from them. Right now I'd expect that the final server has a 50/50 chance of being Java or C; whereas, I think the final version of the client will move from Python to C++. It really depends if speed/capacity becomes an issue for either.

Welcome to the State of Siege project homepage. We just incepted this idea a few days ago so bear with us while in the planning stages.
Many of our friends (not to mention ourselves) are anxious to see screens; however, this project is going to be slow and steady as to do things right.
We will keep regular updates here, but you may also want to check out our project space on sourceforge.net.
